HamiltonJet’s newest jet boat is something very different that is designed to be versatile both in the salt and fresh water.
Ocean-based adventure is a mindset for many New Zealanders. It requires the perfect balance of preparation, attitude and patience – and Hamiltonjet think you’ve waited long enough for the perfect companion.
Raising the bar in on-water adventure they have introduced the e740 Oceanhunter Range, which is billed as the ideal vessel for your future on-water adventures. A true chameleon, the versatile e740 can move between fresh and saltwater with ease and offers countless options for serious hunters, adventurers and leisure seekers alike.
This highly versatile waterjet with low rpm pump delivers high speed thrust and efficiency. The reverse bucket design offers unrivalled vessel responsiveness with a smooth progressive transition from forward to reverse, without noisy gear changes.
The HJ213 is the diesel engine equivalent of the HJ212 featuring more robust construction, comprehensive anode protection and hydraulic pump, cooler and cylinder for reverse control.
The forward-raked windscreen gives e740 a modern, commanding look with a low bow to maximise your view towards the ocean ahead while minimising water on the screen and maximising shade.
The forward positioned engine offers plenty of room to move, while all important storage is ample. The spacious cockpit (4.8m2) provides a practical area for divers to gear up and unload with access to a self-draining storage area and customisable workstation.
The large bow floor area (2.9m2) gives fishers the freedom to play their catch in any direction and enables passengers to walk straight off the front onto a dock or the shore.
The open transom provides a self-draining deck that can take on the waves, as well as easy access on and off the boat (self-draining transom also available). The engine cover doubles as seating and storage. It also integrates a chilly bin area and steps up to the roof. e740 also boasts many other features to make life on the water easy, including an electric anchor winch, integrated boarding ladders and anti-slip, easy to clean rubber matting.
Optional extras include a twin axle HamiltonJet-branded trailer, colour changing underwater lighting and a variety of navigational, information-display and fishing assistance systems that can be specified as part of the build.
Single waterjet powered boats turn on the spot and perform rapid stops with ease, without additional thrusters. The e740’s exceptional visibility via large cabin windows and low bow profile provides outstanding water views for easy manoeuvring while the spacious walkaround offers unrestricted access for boat positioning.
The shallow draft, combined with waterjet impellors safely contained within the body of the jet, deliver unrivalled shallow water capability. This means e740 can cross shallow river bars, river mouths and estuaries, or launch straight off the beach without damage to the drivetrain.
With nothing exposed beneath the hull, e740 is safer around people and wildlife. This makes e740 the perfect platform for diving, snorkelling and other water sports. With an impressive fuel carrying capacity of up to 300L, those all-day ocean adventures are now a reality.
The e740 Oceanhunter Range can be customised to suit your own personal adventure, including engine, control and steering options.
