2027 Auckland Boat Show To Open Australasian Boat Show Season

NZ Marine has revealed the dates for the 2027 Auckland Boat Show, with the industry-owned event returning to Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre and Jellicoe Harbour from 1–4 April 2027.

The show will follow the Ocean Race Auckland Stopover, creating a high-profile period for New Zealand’s marine industry and an opportunity to showcase its products, innovation and expertise to local and international audiences.

It will also be the first major event of the Australasian boat show season, ahead of other on-water shows including the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show next May and the Australian International Boat Show in Sydney next July.

The Auckland Boat Show showcases the full breadth of New Zealand’s recreational marine industry, from entry-level trailer boats and marine equipment through to luxury custom-built yachts. Its unique on-water format allows prospective buyers to compare vessels, experience them on the water through sea trials and speak directly with designers, builders, manufacturers and suppliers. For the industry, it is also one of New Zealand’s most important opportunities to build relationships, launch products and generate new business.

The 25th anniversary event, held in March 2026, delivered strong commercial outcomes, with exhibitors reporting excellent sales and high-quality enquiries throughout the four-day show. More than 164 exhibitors showcased over 500 brands, including 35 businesses exhibiting for the first time. Visitors enjoyed 1,220 sea trials and spent more than $10 million during the event, highlighting the show’s significant contribution to both the marine sector and Auckland’s economy.

“The Auckland Boat Show is created by the industry, for the industry,” says NZ Marine Boat Show Manager Stacey Cook.

“It brings together every part of New Zealand’s recreational marine sector in one place, providing a platform for businesses to showcase their products, build relationships and connect directly with current and future customers. The quality of the exhibitors, the unique on-water format and our central Auckland location continue to set the show apart.

“We’re committed to building on that success in 2027. Visitors can once again look forward to our popular Seminar Series, the Women in Marine event and an unrivalled range of on-water displays that make the Auckland Boat Show a standout experience.”
