The new A$400m mixed-use redevelopment, now called Mantaray Marina, has opened on Australia’s Gold Coast. The world-class marina can accommodate 67 yachts ranging from 10m-60m (33ft-197ft).
Located on The Spit, a protected peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast’s Broadwater – a key waterway for the area’s boating activities –Mantaray Marina sits among several other Gold Coast marinas. The development spans a 10,000m² land area and a 13,000m² water area. Berths are available for booking from a day to 12 months or longer if required. Beyond the marina berths, the site features a 1,100m² floating lounge, 24 luxury residences, 12 private pools, a 40m resort pool, a retail plaza, and a new public boardwalk connecting the Broadwater to the ocean. The site was developed by Gordon Corp, led by Tim Gordon in partnership with pub entrepreneur Bruce Mathieson.
Mantaray Marina is the first major development on The Spit peninsula in more than 25 years, since Marina Mirage and Palazzo Versace. Lara Dimond, Gordon Corp’s sales and marketing director, previously commented: “The Mantaray Marina was conceived as a destination in its own right. “This is the first time we’ve made the berths available for lease, and it was important to us that construction of the marina and the broader residential and retail precinct were well advanced before embarking on this process. Delivering new berth capacity on the Gold Coast is critical for tourism and for the evolution of The Spit as a superyacht and lifestyle precinct.”
The Broadwater provides direct access to the Asia Pacific’s premier refit and maintenance hub, world-class marina operations, and the iconic cruising grounds of Australia’s east coast – from the Whitsundays to the Great Barrier Reef. With short-term and tailored berthing options, secure facilities, and full-service concierge via The Mantaray Club, this destination offers convenience, comfort, and luxury.
The marina’s concierge service includes superyacht agency services, vessel management and maintenance options, security patrols, car parking and secure customer storage, a Captain’s Lounge (meeting room and business facilities), waterfront cafes, restaurants and retail, transport services, and VIP transfers.
