The Yacht Sales Co. will host its annual Gold Coast Open Day at The Boat Works on Saturday 7 November 2026, inviting boating enthusiasts and prospective buyers to explore an extensive display of new and pre-owned yachts.
The popular event will bring together leading international yacht brands, brokerage vessels and marine industry specialists at The Yacht Sales Co. waterfront headquarters within The Boat Works at Coomera. Visitors will have the opportunity to inspect an impressive selection of sailing catamarans, motor yachts and monohulls, with vessels displayed both in the water and ashore.
The Open Day will showcase The Yacht Sales Co. portfolio of new yacht brands, including Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Dufour Yachts, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts, ILIAD Catamarans and Veya Yachts, alongside a diverse selection of pre-owned brokerage vessels.
A highlight of the event is the opportunity to view yachts in The Boat Works’ dedicated out-of-water display precinct, giving buyers a different perspective on hull design, construction, and vessel features.
With experienced yacht sales consultants on hand throughout the day, visitors can discuss the latest models, compare layouts and explore options for coastal cruising, bluewater passagemaking and extended liveaboard adventures. Commenting on the 2026 event, The Yacht Sales Co. CEO, Mark Elkington, said, “Our Gold Coast Open Day has become a much-anticipated event on the boating calendar, bringing together yacht owners, prospective buyers and enthusiasts year after year. “What makes the event so popular is the opportunity to explore such a diverse range of monohulls and multihulls, both sail and power, all in one location. Whether you’re considering your first yacht, looking to upgrade or simply exploring what’s available, it’s a fantastic opportunity to step aboard, compare different designs and speak with our experienced team about your cruising ambitions.”
Tony Longhurst, owner of The Boat Works, said the annual event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the Gold Coast’s thriving marine industry. “We’re always pleased to support our onsite yacht sales partners and events that bring boat buyers and enthusiasts together,” he stated. “What makes this Open Day particularly appealing is the opportunity to inspect yachts in the unique out-of- water display precinct, giving prospective buyers a closer look at the vessels at their leisure. “It’s the ideal way to showcase the advantages of having yacht sales, marine trades and service facilities all together here at The Boat Works.”
Complimentary parking will be available, while guests can enjoy takeaway refreshments or dine-in options at the precinct’s three onsite cafés, bars and restaurants.
Adding to the day’s attractions, Garage 25, a vintage and prestige car collection on-site, will be open until 2pm, offering visitors the chance to explore a collection of classic and rare motorbikes and automobiles – each with its own fascinating history. If you’re looking to buy, researching the latest designs or simply wanting to enjoy a day immersed in boating, The Yacht Sales Co. Gold Coast Open Day at The Boat Works promises a relaxed and informative experience for the whole family.
