Long established Challenger Boats will be featured at next month’s NZ Boats Show with an exciting range of boats.
Challenger Boats is a brand that has been around since 1994 but, like many of the GRP builders of the past, faded from the mainstream market. However, no longer. Challenger Boats is back with a much improved and modern range of open and hardtop boats. The boats have been brought up to the latest design thinking, with four current models.
The range starts with two open cabin models, the 550 SE and the 595 SE. The 650SE is available in both cabin or hardtop versions and is ideally suited to 150-200hp single outboards. The top of the range is the 720 HT, an ideal boat for offshore fishermen.
An interesting aspect of the Challenger Boats is the hulls have no strakes. This guarantees a genuinely smooth, quiet, comfortable ride in most conditions.
Challenger Boats are built in Morrinsville and sold through Boat City Marine (Paraparaumu) Auckland Marine Centre and Wanaka Marine.
