It’s set to be the most spectacular Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) yet! Already fuelling excitement among those who love the boating life is a new luxury VIP Experience and close to 100 brand-new product launches from some of Australia and the globe’s most popular and luxurious marine brands.

EVENT OVERVIEW

The event is held annually in May over four-days from Thursday 23 May to Sunday 26 May (9am to 5pm) with 2024 marking the 35th edition of the event. SCIBS has grown to become the Southern Hemisphere’s largest boating and marine lifestyle event and a key event on the global boat show calendar. The 2024 Show will feature over 330 exhibitors, 700-plus boats, and more than 2,500 products and is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors. SCIBS 2024 will showcase everything from superyachts, personal watercraft and marine technology to fishing vessels, trailerable boats, sailing catamarans and powerboats.

WHAT’S ON & WHAT’S HOT

The Show is a significant part of the first, global World Boating Day, on May 25 and 26.  The event will play host to close to 100 global, Asia-Pacific and Australian premieres and product launches.

In 2024, the show’s footprint has been expanded to include the grounds of the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort with the introduction of a new look VIP Experience hosted at the Lagoon Beach Club. This iconic precinct will be the home of luxury at SCIBS, offering an elevated boat show experience including boat show access, an all-day grazing menu, pop-up bars, tasting experiences and live entertainment, all with a beach club vibe and overlooking the resort’s Lagoon Pool and marina.

The Main Stage entertainment will include fishing and cooking masterclasses such as Catch ‘n’ Cook and Tackle Talk with Show Ambassador Paul Burt, Cocktails ‘n’ Fish Tails with Burty ‘n’ Gooey and The Casting Couch with Gooey. The weekend will also play host to the Mr Kaboodle & The Wobbly Pirate kids’ stage show.

The popular Berkley Supertank returns to the Show offering spectators a fish’s-eye view without getting wet. Watch fishing expert Brett Thomson demonstrate different types of lures and angling techniques, to help improve your strike rate on your next fishing adventure.

The Sanctuary Cove streets will come alive with roving street performers and kids will love the interactive activities in the Kids’ Zone over the weekend. For visitors wishing to test the waters, there’s a dedicated Sea Trial Zone on the Marina presented by Dometic. The Live Bream Shoot Out, hosted by Show Ambassador and 7News coastal expert, Paul Burt returns this year with a prize pool of over $10,000.
