Finalists in the four categories of the Awards announced.

The New Zealand Marina Operators Association (NZMOA) is delighted to announce finalists in the four categories of the NZMOA Marina of the Year Awards.
The finalists are:

NZMOA Best Initiative Category – marina and boatyard members
- Waiheke Marina’s floating carparks and office – a New Zealand first
- Marlborough Sounds Marina’s All Aboard – Marina Customers Digital Onboarding
- The Whangarei Maritime Festival by Whangārei Marina
- Port Nikau – for connecting Whangārei’s marine industry to the superyacht market
NZMOA Best Initiative Category – associate members
- Products from Dixon Manufacturing to Improve Safety in Marinas
- Heron Construction for Waiheke Marina’s floating structures: a new frontier for environmentally sensitive marinas

Organised by the New Zealand Marina Operators Association, the awards were established in 2018 to recognise and celebrate excellent practice in the marinas industry. Winners will be announced at a formal celebration dinner to be held as part of the annual New Zealand Marinas and Boatyard Conference at Parliament House in Wellington on Wednesday 11 September.
Five independent judges joined a team of industry experts to judge the programme including marine journalists and business and industry leaders. The independent judges were former marina manager and CEO Brian Jolliffe, writer Rebecca Hayter, former President of NZ Marine Garry Lock, Donovan Group CEO and sailor Matthew Woodley and Margaret Wind, Publisher and Editor of Skipper Magazine.
