Ford Ranger Super Duty coming in 2026.

Ford Ranger Super Duty will deliver next-level, work-ready capability to serve the toughest customers when it arrives in 2026. Born from direct collaboration with fleet customers, Ranger Super Duty is a new mid-size truck that can do things no other mid-size truck can do.

It has been engineered and designed to deliver the higher levels of Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM), Gross Combined Mass (GCM), towing and enhanced off-road capability required by those who need it, including emergency service operators, farmers, utilities and forestry workers, miners, infrastructure technicians, and many more.

“Ranger Super Duty blends the award-winning traits of Ranger like advanced safety and smart features that we know customers love with heavy-duty capability and delivers something our buyers told us they needed but couldn’t get from any other manufacturer. This work-ready vehicle will give owners the flexibility they need to get the big jobs done and all with an extensive factory-backed warranty,” said Sondra Sutton Phung, General Manager, Global Truck, Ford Motor Company.

This new model was developed by Ford’s IMG Product Development team, led by a 1,500-strong group of designers, engineers and specialists in Australia, and will be manufactured in Thailand for sale in markets around the world.

Compared to other mid-sized trucks, Ranger Super Duty can:

  • Tow more: 4,500kg maximum braked towing capacity
  • Carry more: 4,500kg GVMiv
  • Do more: 8,000kg GCMiv

“Ranger Super Duty further strengthens our commercial vehicle portfolio with an offering for all kinds of work. As we move closer to launch, we will continue to work closely with fleets and vehicle upfitters across the country to be sure that Ranger Super Duty does everything they expect it to, and so much more,” said Annaliese Atina, Managing Director, Ford New Zealand.
