This year’s show has seen a significant increase in bookings, particularly from boat brands, as well as numerous new exhibitors from various facets of the marine industry and related businesses.
There is the new addition of the Seafood Café and Bar, also, which should be a popular attraction for attendees who can enjoy a taste of NZ seafood deliciousness and a cold beer or wine in between browsing a large selection of what the NZ marine industry has to offer. They will once again be running the kids fishing and diving photo competition, which was a huge hit last year, and it’s great to see all the youngsters’ success from getting out on the water and enjoying a treasured NZ pastime.
The basis for this show and the driving passion behind it is so multi layered, from trying to support and showcase how amazing the NZ Boat Building, Boating, Fishing and Diving industry is and also to celebrate how very lucky we are to have access to some of the world’s most pristine and abundant fisheries whilst also using the event platform to educate, promote and push for better conservation, best practise/etiquette harvesting and to help create robust common sense legislation going forward to help protect and manage our fisheries and waters around NZ by getting people involved in the process.
