Gordon Corp, led by Tim Gordon in partnership with pub baron Bruce Mathieson, has launched a twelve-week Expression of Interest campaign for the new 67-berth Mantaray Marina on the Gold Coast Broadwater, as the superyacht and lifestyle precinct enters its final delivery stage.
Opening on The Spit in May 2026, the marina will sit alongside a signature 1,100sqm floating lounge, 24 ultra-luxury residences, an activated retail plaza and a new public boardwalk linking the Broadwater to the ocean.
The $400 million mixed-use redevelopment spans 10,000sqm of prime land and 13,000sqm of dedicated marina water. As the first major project delivered on The Spit since Palazzo Versace and Marina Mirage more than 25 years ago, it is positioned as a once-only opportunity of significant scale, designed to become an enduring Gold Coast landmark.
Centred around just 24 luxury residences, the project incorporates 12 private pools, 14 lifts and a 40-metre resort pool, offering amenities unmatched in the region. Alongside sits the private, world-class marina with 67 berths, a curated retail plaza featuring leading dining operators, and a floating lounge set to become a Broadwater icon.
Gordon Corp Sales & Marketing Director Lara Dimond said the marina was conceived as a destination within the broader vision for the precinct, pairing significant investment with a highly curated service model.
“This is the first time we’ve made the berths available for lease, and it was important that construction was well advanced before beginning the campaign,” Ms Dimond said. “Delivering new berth capacity on the Gold Coast is critical for tourism and the evolution of The Spit as a genuine superyacht and lifestyle precinct.”
Designed in collaboration with Inarc Design QLD and Rothelowman, the precinct opens mid-next year, activating The Spit and driving jobs, tourism and private-sector investment.
Marina Manager Luke McCaul said Mantaray Marina combines superyacht-standard infrastructure with a hospitality-driven service model. Berths range from 10 to 60 metres, including 20 superyacht berths. All enjoy access to The Mantaray Club, a two-storey floating lounge featuring a coastal-style restaurant and bar on the lower deck and a flexible VIP event space above.
Onshore, The Captain’s Lounge provides private facilities for berth holders and superyacht crew, including business amenities, meeting spaces and premium customer services. A concierge team led by an international-industry expert will coordinate all aspects of each vessel’s stay, from arrival assistance and provisioning to in-berth dining and personalised itineraries.
All berths include state-of-the-art service pedestals (up to 250A), pump-out facilities, secure access, CCTV, Wi-Fi, customer parking and private storage. A courtesy vehicle and marina buggy transfers are also provided.
Mr McCaul said early interest has been strong. Monthly leases start from $2,000, with pricing tailored to vessel size, term and individual requirements.
The location offers direct access to Stradbroke and Moreton Islands, the Pacific Ocean and onward cruising to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays. It also sits just 11 nautical miles from the Coomera Marine Precinct, the Asia-Pacific’s premier refit and repair destination.
