BROAD SMUGGLER RANGE AT AUCKLAND BOAT SHOW

Smuggler Marine will be exhibiting at the upcoming Auckland Boat Show, giving visitors the opportunity to experience their range up close.

On display will be the flagship Strata 800 Super Sport Amphibious, the versatile Strata 800 Mid Cabin Amphibious, and the popular Strata 700 Centre Console Amphibious, all three showcasing Smuggler’s proven amphibious capability and performance.

Alongside the amphibious line-up, Smuggler will present two of their highly regarded non-amphibious RIBs, including the sporty Strata 750 Centre Console RIB and the compact, capable 580 RIB.

Leading the Smuggler showcase at the show will be the newest model to the range, the 800 Super Sport. Released to the public at last year’s show, the new ‘Bowrider’ style RIB has been a hit with the market, with a number of units sold and delivered to customers.

Derived from the very popular 780 Super Sport RIB (non-Amphibious), and catering to the water sports, diving and fishing market alike, the Super Sport’s bowrider style layout provides seating for up to five in the bow area and when added to the six seats in the main cockpit, this gives the boat a remarkable 12-seat capacity, whilst still capable of being a serious blue water performer, family day boat, fishing boat, or dive tender.

The Smuggler 800 SS is fitted with the Anura Electric Over Hydraulic (EOH) amphibious system.

Each EOH amphibious system is equipped with 12.4kWh of batteries, to provide a runtime of between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the operating environment. Driving the hydraulic pump is an 28kW air-cooled electric motor.

The 800 SS boasts Smuggler’s proven 27-degree deep vee hull that is shared on RIB and amphibious models 7.5 metres and above. Underway with the Mercury 300hp V8 powerplant, the 800 SS will do close to 50 knots, making it a true blue water performer.

Together, the display highlights Smuggler Marine’s commitment to innovation, ride quality, and versatility, offering boaters the chance to compare both amphibious and traditional RIB platforms in one place.
