Yamaha’s inflatable boat range—marketed under the YAM brand—offers a comprehensive lineup of compact, portable craft designed for versatility, ease of use and dependable performance. Spanning multiple series and ranging in size from 2-4m, the range caters to everything from lightweight tenders to more robust leisure boats, all built with Yamaha’s emphasis on durability and practicality. Across the range, common features include compact packability, quick assembly, and practical accessories such as paddles, pumps and carry bags. Ultimately, Yamaha’s inflatable lineup stands out for blending portability with reliable marine engineering, making it an accessible and adaptable option for a wide spectrum of recreational boating needs.
Torqeedo by Yamaha
Acquired by Yamaha in 2024, Torqeedo has established itself as a global leader in electric marine propulsion, offering one of the most comprehensive ranges of electric outboards on the market. Its lineup spans from ultra-light, portable motors to high-powered systems capable of driving larger vessels, all built around efficient lithium-ion battery technology and integrated digital controls. At the entry level, the Ultralight and Travel series cater to kayaks, tenders and small boats, delivering between roughly 1–5 horsepower equivalent with fully integrated batteries and plug-and-play simplicity. These compact units prioritise portability, quiet operation and ease of use, making them ideal for inland waterways and short-range cruising.
F450hp Flagship Model
Also look for the flagship Yamaha F450hp outboard, part of the XTO Offshore range. Powered by a 5.6-litre V8 four-stroke engine with a 32-valve DOHC configuration, it produces an impressive 450 horsepower, delivering exceptional torque and performance across the rev range. A key feature of the F450 is its direct fuel injection system, which enhances fuel efficiency and throttle response while maintaining strong power output. The engine also incorporates Yamaha’s innovative Phase Angle Control charging system, capable of producing up to 96 net amps, enabling it to support modern onboard electronics without a separate generator.
