AkzoNobel Yacht Coatings has introduced a new, easier to apply topside system with two new products in its high-performance International range.
One UP is a new versatile undercoat and primer that offers boaters a faster application time by combining the benefits of both an undercoat and primer into one coating. The unique formulation protects multiple substrates and helps enhance the finish of International’s 1-part finishes.
The new silicone alkyd premium gloss topcoat, Toplac Plus, is suitable for all substrates above the waterline, stays glossy for longer and is available in a wide range of colours in response to customer demand.
Toplac Plus can be applied using a brush or roller, and because of the new product’s superior flow and levelling, tipping by brush is no longer required to obtain a perfect finish. This makes Toplac Plus quicker and easier to use, and suitable for Do-It-Yourself boaters and professionals.
Yacht owners wanting Toplac’s industry-leading high performance coating will have 24 bright colours to choose from with the new Toplac Plus. In addition, UV filters keep those colours glossier for longer. Ten colours will be available at launch, with a further 14 colours from October onward.Â
