ASSAULT RELEASE NEW 8M AMPHIBIOUS

by admin

After being approached by many current clients wanting a amphibious boat in the larger size, Assault Boats decided to develop this new Assault 8m the last 9 months.

Based on a completely new 8m hull, (9.1m including sponsons) the boat has a flat transom, and D shape pontoons which to provide more room at the rear. The deep 25.5 deg deep V at the transom gives a soft ride but with a stable platform while underway and at rest.

For the land based amphibious components, Assault Boats chose the well proven Orion System.

Assault Boats have gone very upmarket with the finished of the boat, with items like the upholstery look and feel.

“We have learnt a lot from the Europeans in upmarket design and finish and wanted this same feel and look in our new range of boats”, says MD Peter Carlson.

The first model is a full hardtop cabin RIB, but there are both 9m and 8m centre console versions in development.

The design was in concept with Assault Boats owner Peter Carlson and builders K2 Marine, who also were involved in the detailed design.Moulds and Build and detailed design is by  K2 Marine

“It must be a formula that works as we sold 4 boats within three days of the new 8m amphibious boat being launched”, said Carlson.
