Azimut S7 For New Zealand

In time to join the America’s Cup spectator fleet, Azimut Yachts New Zealand have confirmed the sale of a new Azimut triple engine S7 to a Kiwi buyer – due to land in Auckland before Xmas.

It follows on from the sale of an Atlantis 45 that was sold during Covid-19 Level 2, and the sale of a new generation Azimut 60 Flybridge – which arrived at the end of September in Auckland and will be handed over to its new owner in the next few days.

Part of Azimut’s Carbon-Tech Generation, and sitting in the middle of a S Collection range which is made up of the S6, S8 & S10 models, the exteriors of the 21-metre S7 are designed by Stefano Righini and combines the collection’s signature features with unprecedented diamond-shaped deckhouse windows.

The S7 boasts a four-cabin layout with three heads, providing sleeping accommodation for eight guests. There is also an additional crew cabin and head.

The galley is located forward, on the main deck, the dining area, two up/down tables can be adjusted in both directions to transform the dinette into a lounge area, which extends seamlessly across inside and outside spaces through a four-panel door.

Aft, there is a tender garage, which can also accommodates a personal watercraft, the garage door folds outwards to create a beautiful sea terrace.

Powering the S7 are three Volvo IPS 1050 propulsion units, each coupled to an 800hp engine – combined achieving a maximum speed of more than 35 knots.

The use of carbon fibre in the superstructure and the pivoting platform has made it possible to increase the volume of the boat without affecting its overall weight, optimizing performance.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic it’s been a busy year for Azimut NZ, also delivering a 32 metre Grande model to a Kiwi client in Italy in June, which is also making its way to New Zealand in time for the America’s Cup.
