As part of their official partnership with Coastguard, the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show’s will host a No Reserve Auction on the Saturday of the show at 1pm.
All proceeds will go to Coastguard and the products being auctioned will be on display, along with a brief description and their usual retail value, in the Hall 2 foyer. They will also be listed on the show’s website: www.boatshow.co.nz. Those who attend the show on Thursday and Friday can also place bids, in the foyer, in a “silent auction”.Among the items to be auctioned is a beautifully restored 100-year-old kauri clinker dinghy, Sea Settler. Stunningly restored by master boatbuilder, Alan Young, Sea Settler comes complete with authentic oars, two life jackets, waterproof cell phone bags and dry bags.Other auction lots include a Wireless Nation modem, complete with 12-24v adaptor and a month’s free Coastguard Endless WiFi, valued at over $450; a Century Yuasa $250 voucher; a Marine Deals multi-function jumpstarter valued at $309, a year’s free boat insurance from Tower and much more.
In addition to the chance to see all the latest boats, engines, electronics, accessories and fishing and diving gear, visitors to the show will again be able to go into the draw for the Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize, a must-be-won prize package worth over $280,000! Based around the popular Surtees 7.5-metre 750 Game Fisher enclosed cabin and including the company’s renowned Surtees SiQ technology package, the Grand Prize will also feature an all-new Yamaha F250 V6 DES Offshore series engine, Yamaha’s Helm Master EX control system, a custom braked tandem Hosking Trailer, a full suite of Garmin electronics, an eye-catching Brave Design wrap and much more.

The 2022 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show at the Auckland Showgrounds runs from May 12-15 and is open 10am-6pm daily with a late on Friday until 9pm. Admission for adults is $25 (with tickets available online (at www.boatshow.co.nz) or at the gate. Children 16 and under are free.
