Brunswick Corporation has announced that Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Foulkes will retire at the end of 2026, concluding a two-decade career with the global marine company.
Aine Denari, currently Executive Vice President and President of Navico Group and Brunswick Chief Technology Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and will join the Brunswick Board of Directors from January 1, 2027.
David Everitt, currently Brunswick’s Lead Independent Director, will become Non-Executive Chairman from the same date.
Foulkes has served as Brunswick CEO since January 2019 and Chairman since February 2025. During his career with the company, he has also held roles including Chief Technology Officer, head of Brunswick Boat Group and financial services, and Vice President of Product Development at Mercury Marine.
“It has been the greatest honour and privilege of my professional life to lead Brunswick Corporation as CEO for the last eight years,” Foulkes said, adding that he was confident Denari was the right person to lead the company into its next chapter.
Denari joined Brunswick in 2020 as President of Brunswick Boat Group before moving into her current dual role leading Navico Group and serving as Chief Technology Officer in 2024. She has more than 30 years’ experience across the automotive, mobility, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
At Navico Group, Denari has overseen new product development across brands including Lowrance and Simrad, including the introduction of AutoCaptain, an integrated autonomous boat docking solution.
“I am thrilled to be appointed CEO of Brunswick Corporation and look forward to building on its strong foundation,” Denari said. “We will continue to strengthen our industry-leading portfolio of marine products while advancing our position as a technology leader in the marine industry.”
Foulkes will continue working with Denari and the Board through the remainder of the year to support a smooth leadership transition.
