Caterpillar Marine has announced the Cat C32B Triple Turbo 2433 MHP (2400 BHP) high-performance marine engine.Â

The C32B Triple Turbo engine leverages the same core engine upgrades as the C32B 2025 MHP rating while offering additional features and benefits, the company said. The C32B 3-Turbo is designed for yachting, sportfishing and governmental applications.
Compared to the C32B 2025 MHP model, the new engine has an updated cooling system and a new sequential (3-turbo) air system designed to deliver faster response and better performance. Additional options include extended oil change intervals, full MCS certification, duplex filtration, and a cosmetic engine cover.
The new C32B Triple Turbo complies with EPA Tier 3 Recreational and IMO 2 emissions regulations, and a fully integrated SCR solution for IMO 3. Additional certifications may also be available. The Cat C32B Triple Turbo engine will be available to order in late 2021 and comes with industry-leading warranty coverage.Â
In a company release, the new package is described as delivering a rated engine speed of 2300rpm with a 20% increase in power output, featuring an updated cooling system a new sequential (three-turbo) air system that delivers faster response and better performance.
Caterpillar Marine will release its C32B Triple Turbo 2433 metric horsepower (MHP) high-performance diesel engine late this year, targeting sportfishing, governmental and yachting repower markets.
