Century Batteries has extended its long-standing partnership with Coastguard Tautiaki Moana, reinforcing support for the country’s volunteer-powered search and rescue service following another busy summer on the water.
In 2025, Coastguard volunteers responded to 2,785 incidents and brought 6,792 people home safely, reflecting the growing pressure of rescue services and the critical need for reliable, mission-ready equipment across New Zealand’s waterways.
Century’s renewed commitment will help ensure Coastguard’s rescue vessels using Century batteries remain powered, dependable, and ready to respond when they’re needed most.
Century Batteries has served as Coastguard’s Official Battery Partner since 2010, supplying high-performance marine batteries and technical support, trusted throughout thousands of operations nationwide.
