A boat show is returning to Sydney’s Darling Harbour in 2027, bringing fresh international backing and an invitation to boating enthusiasts from Australia, New Zealand and across the region.
The Australian International Boat Show will run from 29 July to 1 August, combining indoor exhibits at ICC Sydney with an on-water display of larger vessels at Cockle Bay Marina.
Behind the new event is Informa, the international organiser whose portfolio includes the Monaco Yacht Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show. Its arrival brings global boat show experience to one of Australia’s most recognisable waterfront destinations.
Informa identified an opportunity to establish a new event after previous Sydney boat shows changed format and moved beyond the Darling Harbour precinct. Its ambition is to bring together the products, people and experiences that make a boating event an enjoyable and worthwhile day out.
To guide that ambition, Informa has engaged the leadership team behind many of Sydney’s successful pre-COVID boat shows, combining local knowledge and established industry relationships with its international resources.
Supportive relationships with marine industry associations across Australia, together with NZ Marine, are helping build a forum where businesses can present their products and services to an engaged audience.
For New Zealand exhibitors, the show offers an opportunity to connect with Australian customers and showcase their capabilities across the Tasman. For visitors, it promises the chance to compare boats, discover equipment, speak with industry specialists and explore their next boating dream.
The organisers are now actively engaging with prospective exhibitors, and New Zealand marine businesses looking to reach a wider audience are encouraged to visit www.australianboatshow.com.au and contact the team for participation details. Whether planning a first purchase, considering an upgrade or simply enjoying the boating lifestyle, enthusiasts have a new reason to put Sydney on their calendar.
