Dockmate Now Able To Connect To Volvo Penta

by admin

Dockmate wireless control system, can now connect directly to Volvo Penta’s EVC-E and EVC-2 electronic vessel controls.

The Dockmate system, which is now approved to integrate with Volvo’s line of drive-by-wire steering systems such as the Volvo IPS, Aquamatic and Inboard systems, enables complete, wireless, fingertip control over single or twin engines, gearboxes and throttle controls, bow and stern thrusters, anchor winches and even the ship’s horn.

As an added bonus, Dockmate’s new wireless charging pad can wirelessly charge not only the handy Dockmate Twist remote but also later model Samsung and Apple phones.

Grant Matthew, from New Zealand distributor, Lusty and Blundell Ltd, says Dockmate offers skippers a stress-free environment in our increasingly congested waterways, marinas and when manoeuvring in close quarters.

“When entering a marina berth, approaching a fuel jetty or trying to secure that prime position, skippers will no longer be confined to their helm station, with its often-restricted view. Instead, the Dockmate wireless remote will enable them to move around their vessel, choose their best vantage points, get close-up views of their surrounding and remain in complete control.”
