FIRST CIRCA 24M LAUNCHED

by admin

After two years of construction, Whangarei based Circa Marine launched their first Circa 24m last week and is currently undergoing sea trials.

Built for an Australian owner, Mollymawk is due to leave the country in June after sea trials.

Over the next few weeks, she will undergo commissioning and calibration of all of the onboard systems and equipment and then undergo extensive sea trials in various conditions to monitor and record her performance and handling. She is a credit to all of the team at Circa Marine, sub-contractors and suppliers.

The second Circa 2w4m, designed by LoMOCEAN Design, is also well underway with confirmed interest in other Circa expedition motor yachts from local and international clients.

Mollymawk has a beam of 5.9m, an overall length of 25m, an LWL of 24.7m and a draft of 1.7m. Displacing 67 tonnes, this all-alloy expedition motor yacht is powered by a pair of Scania D109070M, 250hp engines and has a top speed of 13 knots fully loaded. Fuel capacity is 13,600L and at 11 knots at 50% engine load has an approximate range of 5000nm.
