Freedom Boat Club, the world’s largest boat club operator and a business of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), have just announced a major milestone in its Asia-Pacific journey, surpassing 500 memberships across the region.
The milestone comes less than three years after Freedom Boat Club launched its first Asia-Pacific location on Sydney Harbour in July 2023, highlighting strong demand for flexible, hassle-free access to boating across a variety of international markets. Today, the club operates 14 locations across Australia and New Zealand, and more than 450 globally, continuing to build momentum as interest in boating lifestyle experiences grows.
“Reaching 500 members in APAC is an exciting milestone and a clear signal that the Freedom Boat Club model is resonating strongly in this market,” said David Kurczewski, Brunswick Vice President and General Manager, Freedom Boat Club Asia-Pacific. “In a relatively short period of time, we’ve introduced a completely new brand and a new way to access the water that removes the traditional barriers to boat ownership while opening the door to more people enjoying time on the water.”
Freedom Boat Club offers members unlimited access to a diverse fleet of boats, with no ownership costs, maintenance, or storage concerns. The model continues to attract a broad range of consumers, from first-time boaters to experienced enthusiasts seeking convenience and flexibility.
The 500-membership milestone highlights the growing appeal of subscription-based boating and reflects Brunswick’s broader strategy to expand its global Boating Services footprint. As Freedom Boat Club continues to scale across the Asia-Pacific region, additional locations and membership growth are expected to follow. “We’re still in the early stages of what we see as a significant long-term opportunity in the region,” Kurczewski added. “This milestone is just the beginning.”
