As the exclusive importer and distributor for Galeon Yachts in Australia & New Zealand, Alexander Marine are pleased to announce that the Galeon 620 FLY received the ‘Best Innovation Award’ in the 45‘ to 64’ category at the World Yachts Trophies gala dinner recently in Cannes, France.
The World Yachts Trophies rewards the best motor boats and yachts from 13 to 140 meters launched during the year. Around thirty trophies were awarded during the dinner, followed by the legendary Yachts Parade, a night ballet of the most beautiful boats in the bay of Cannes, under the spotlight of the Croisette. The prestigious dinner was held in an open-air theatre arrangement on the beach in front of the Cannes Carlton hotel, welcoming up to 700 guests and organised by SG Publications, publisher of Yachts France magazine, Yachts Italia and Yachts Europe.
Set to make a bold statement on the international stage, the Galeon 620 FLY had her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival. She embodies the Galeon shipyard’s commitment to innovation and technical mastery as a stunning example of cutting-edge craftsmanship, seamlessly blending sporty elegance with high-end functionality.
Continuing Galeon’s tradition of bold design breakthroughs, the 620 FLY introduces a unique Terrace Mode with foldable lower aft balconies creating an expansive waterside terrace that provides direct access from the master cabin to the water, elevating both privacy and onboard lifestyle. The 620 FLY also showcases an innovative asymmetrical saloon layout that eliminates the side deck to port to further maximise the available floor area of this spacious haven while enhancing connection with the outdoors.
Having visited the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, witnessing the global premiere of the 620 FLY at the Galeon Yachts display in person together with Superyacht Sales Executive Martin Hills, Alexander Australia Marine Dealer Principal / Director Todd Holzapfel was suitably impressed by the innovative features of this model. “The 620 FLY has certainly delivered on the promise to ‘redefine modern yacht design’ that was made by Galeon Yachts at boot Düsseldorf at the concept reveal earlier this year” said Holzapfel.
