Gladstone Goanna Gets a Lift - and a Rescue!

When a goanna found itself in hot water—well, tidal trouble—the quick-thinking SeaLink Gladstone crew stepped in to lend a friend a helping claw! Spotted struggling in the tide near RG Tanna Coal Terminal with no land in sight, the goanna made a beeline for the bow after the vessel slowed. With some expert hook and rescue skills, the deckhand brought the little adventurer safely aboard.
The goanna hitched a ride in true VIP style until they reached the island. Though coaxed to return to the rocks, the scaly stowaway decided to dock and roll off the gangway instead. A huge shoutout to the Gladstone team for their brilliant customer service, even for the reptilian mates. Who knew they were in the business of scales and tails transport too?
