HUTCHWILCO NZ BOAT SHOW STILL ON

by admin

Despite last week’s announcement by the New Zealand government regarding the Covid-19 framework that the country will remain in the Red setting for a little longer, the organisers of the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in May say it is still all go.

The announcement that, under the Orange setting, there will no longer be any limits on the number of people able to attend an indoor or outdoor event is a positive boost for the 2022 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show. So, too, was the announcement that the current traffic light settings will be reviewed on April 4.

With the Prime Minister today saying she is keen to remove restrictions as soon as possible, show organisers believe there is an excellent chance that, on April 4, the government will announce that New Zealand will move from Red to Orange, either immediately or within the next couple of weeks.

“This is great news for the 2022 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show”, says organiser Dave Gibbs.

He adds that the response to the show from the New Zealand marine industry has been positive, and virtually all the space has been sold.

“We are confident of having a hugely successful show and again will be offering the only show where you could end up winning a Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize boat package worth over $280,000”!

The show will be held at the Auckland Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland, from 12-15 May.
