Australian luxury boat builder Longreef Yachts displayed its latest model, the 50 SX Flybridge motor yacht, at last weeks, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Long reef announced its presence in the luxury boating market with the launch of its 60 SX flybridge yacht at the Sydney International Boat Show in 2019, and two Longreef 90s are in build for clients for delivery in 2021.

Long reef Yachts CEO Andy Young said: “We are excited to bring this ground-breaking motor yacht to Australia’s first major show of 2021. She has been developed after more than a year of consultation and development.

“She fulfils our design philosophy of effortless luxury, being easy to operate and offering a layout that provides multiple spaces for entertaining and relaxing.”

The large teak-laid aft cockpit offers transom seating facing an adjustable timber dinette table. A barbecue unit and sink across the transom are accessed from the swim platform. Sun lovers will enjoy a sizeable double sun pad on the foredeck.

Large tri-fold glass doors between the cockpit and saloon open to create a seamless indoor/outdoor space.

The saloon amenities have been carefully considered to make maximum use of the extended space and take full advantage of substantial panoramic windows. The area includes a fully-equipped aft galley with a dinette opposite which seats five adults on a U-shaped lounge around an adjustable timber dining/coffee table. The interior helm with its double seat is forward on the starboard side.

A teak-tread staircase from the cockpit leads to the extended flybridge that offers lounge seating for up to 10 adults around the entire aft section with a timber dinette table and a wet bar with an ice-maker. The helm is positioned forward on the starboard side with a wide sun pad beside it. The accommodation deck begins with a spacious atrium lounge that can quickly convert to Pullman-style bunk beds. The master stateroom forward offers a walk-around queen double bed and cedar-lined hanging wardrobe. An en-suite bathroom with a shower stall is to port. The second stateroom on the starboard side amidships includes twin beds, a wardrobe and a bedside table. The en-suite bathroom also acts as a day head.

Standard power for the Longreef 50 SX is twin Cummins 550 diesel engines providing up to 550hp and a top speed of 25 knots.
