MAKAIRA LAUNCH NEW KING BANK 35

by admin

Makaira Boats recently launching a new King Bank 35, for a serious fisherman.

The King Bank 35 has spacious sleeping for six with a queen size master cabin and all the creature comforts for extended trips away.

Power for Onjon II is a single Volvo Penta D6 440 with a DPI leg, which gives the boat a top speed of 34 knots. Construction is all standard 5083 Aluminium with an 8mm plate hull that meets Lloyds structural standards and has a limited lifetime warranty. The deep flared bow offers an impressive ride in rough water and with an 800-litre fuel tank, the Makaira 35 has plenty of range for offshore trips. To help with stability, she is fitted with a Seakeeper 2.

Onjon II has a beam of 3.4m and a trailerable weight of 6000 kgs. However, a special permit would be necessary due to the excessive beam.

Onjon II has been fitted out with Garmin electronics, Fusion entertainment  and Hella LED lighting. To add a touch of class, u-dek is used on the deck and gunwales. The layout features a lock up wheelhouse bulkhead with an electric pillarless drop down window to port, with a bi-fold door to starboard.

The cuddy cabin provides four full length bunks, but you have a choice of layouts to suit your requirements. Being a boat destined for fishing, there are around 20 rod holders, tuna tubes and a large live bait tank.
