A new flagship engine is due to be released by MAN at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival

MAN is due to release New 30L, V12X flagship model to top recreational yacht engine lineup. With an output of 2,200hp at 2,300rpm, MAN’s new 30-litre V12X becomes the company’s new flagship leisure marine powerplant

MAN has confirmed the company will use the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival to debut its most powerful 12-cylinder engine yet for leisure marine applications. Described as marking the ‘next generation in yacht engines,’ the company’s new 30-litre V12X generates 2,200 horsepower (1618kW) at 2,300rpm, making it the most powerful model in the company’s high speed diesel lineup for recreational boats.

“The MAN V12X marks the start of the next generation of yacht engines,” said MAN Engines head of engineering, Werner Kübler. “We are acknowledging this milestone in engine technology with the new name, V12X, and giving the distinctive engine cover an X design.

The first example of the MAN V12X will be displayed at the MAN engines Vieux Port stand at Cannes, from September 6-11.
