The adjacent Port Opua Marina Park has all marine services within walking distance, including travel lift haulout and hardstand, catamaran haul out, boat builders and riggers, painters, refrigeration, mechanics, electronics, chandleries, car hire, insurance and boat brokers, storage facilities, laundry, cafe and hairdresser.

Opua is located five minutes by road from Paihia, the heart of the Bay of Islands. It is 20 minutes from Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands Airport and is a short water crossing from historic Russell.
