Electric tunnel and retractable thrusters from Mac Power are now available in 48V variants.

Italian thruster manufacturer Max Power has introduced a number of new 48V models in response to market demand. New electric tunnel thrusters (the CT 125, CT300 and CT325), as well as the VIP150 electric retractable thruster, are now available in 48V. All models operate from 48V house bank batteries, an option which provides space and cost savings for the boating community, as smaller wires are needed for installation.
The CT125 is the most powerful 185mm diameter tunnel thruster in the Max Power range and is suitable for motorboats and deep footed sailing yachts from 35ft-58ft. The CT300 is suitable for motoryachts and deep footed sailing boats from 67ft-93ft. Designed for use with the popular 300mm tunnel diameter, the 48V electric tunnel thruster is a direct replacement for older, less powerful 24V units.

The largest and most powerful model in the Max Power 48V tunnel thruster range, the CT325, is suitable for motorboats and deep footed sailing yachts from 72ft-100ft. The high performing 48V DC tunnel thruster is available with bronze and aluminium drive legs depending on the material of the hull.
And finally, Max Power’s vertically retracting 12V and 24V VIP150 thruster is now available in a new 48V variant, making it the first 48V vertically retracting model in the market, Max Power claims. The VIP150 is ideally suited to high-performance sailing yachts and super-fast motoryachts from 40ft-60ft.
Max Power designs and manufactures bow and stern thrusters at its Italian facilities in Monza. The company was founded in 1987 in Mandelieu, France, and is now part of the Lalizas Group.
