Ovlov Marine has partnered with Volvo Penta to offer a drive replacement option for those who find their boats are needing a bit more attention, or are seeking an upgrade. Ovlov is offering a $1000 trade-in on stern drives in any condition, free fitting if you haul out at Orams boatyard or Pine Harbour Marina, and free Barnacle Buster universal joint socks. For IPS drives, they’re offering free Propspeed coating. The package includes an industry-leading, Volvo Penta-backed two-year warranty on genuine drives and parts fitted by the Ovlov Marine team.
Ovlov director Lachlan Trembath says although regular servicing is the key to keep your engine and drives in great condition, it’s great to have the option to upgrade to a new drive.
“These drive packages allow peace of mind and are quite an economic option,” he says. “Volvo Penta NZ have good stocks at most times, and we work in with Orams and other haulage yards to implement a quick turnaround, so you can get back out on the water.
“Sometimes on insurance claims we might need to await parts for the agreed repair, so the new drive option gives the client a way to refresh, upgrade and eliminate existing wear. Often the new drive will have upgrades and improvements on earlier models too, which is an added bonus.”
The Ovlov team are factory trained to ensure correct fitting, and all new drives come with a two-year warranty. They are also registered on the Volvo Penta international portal, assuring continued warranty cover wherever the boat may go.
New drives can be fitted at Ovlov’s two locations, at the Orams yard at Westhaven or at Pine Harbour Marina. Ovlov also offers a mobile service, with fifteen mobile service vehicles.
