Streaker Marine’s owners (l to R) Sean Savage, Paul Savage Snr and Paul Savage Jnr.
Streaker Marine, owned by the Savage family, will become Maritimo’s Consultants in Victoria from this month.
With a history stretching back to 1973 when it manufactured Streaker Boats, Streaker Marine has a proud track record in the Victorian boating sector. Its Bayswater retail facility is recognised as one of the best in the industry. The company was established by brothers Paul and Leon Savage in 1973

The family-owned operation has evolved from manufacturing high-quality fibreglass trailer boats in the 1970s to a full-service retail brokerage. The business is owned and operated by industry stalwarts Paul Savage and his sons Paul Junior and Sean, who bought out Leon’s share of the company in 2017.
Streaker Marine is widely recognised throughout Victoria as one of the industry’s most professional and successful full-service brokerage and retail outlets.
Like Maritimo founders, the Barry-Cotter family, the Savages have a history of competitive racing. Their interest being waterskiing, with the Barry-Cotter’s being at the top of the offshore powerboat racing world for decades.
“We have always admired what the Barry-Cotters have achieved in our industry, and it will be an honour to represent Maritimo here in Victoria and Tasmania,” said Sean.

“When Leon retired in 2017 and Paul Junior, and I bought into the business, we had a strategic plan to grow and evolve our brand. “By teaming up with Maritimo, we move a significant way further down that path.”
Streaker Marine is in the process of purchasing a Maritimo luxury motor cruiser and will use that vessel as a moveable sales centre around the Victorian waterfront.
Ormonde Britton said the appointment of Streaker Marine further cemented Maritimo’s Australian and New Zealand Consultancy network as a market leader. “For us, it is all about the customer experience, and the Savage family will help us deliver further in that quest,” he said.Â
