Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE) has announced a brand new design, the Nordhavn 51, which will follow closely in the wake of its smaller sistership, the N41.
Inspired by the N41’s resounding success, the brand new Nordhavn 51 will mimic the same production-like structure, emphasising a set, streamlined build order instead of individual customisation.
The two-stateroom, two-head passagemaker answers the calls from customers drawn to the N41 design but wants more room, an additional head and a flybridge. The Nordhavn 51 will more closely resemble other long-range cruising Nordhavns with her separate pilothouse, but her interior will mirror the finishes of the N41. She will be produced as a complete boat that includes stabilisers, bow thruster, and davit, among other items as standard.
Powered by twin John Deere 4045AFM85 M1 160 bhp engines, the Nordhavn 51 will be a modern passagemaker to usher in the new decade with state-of-the-art technology at the engineering level and a contemporary design scheme. As is the case with the N41, the Nordhavn 51 will be CE Certified Category A for the most serious offshore use.
Tooling for the N51 is underway, and the first hull is expected to lay up in March. She will be built alongside the Nordhavn 41 in Turkey. Currently, the first seven hulls have been reserved for purchase. Hull #1 is expected to finish in about 18 months.
