NZ SEA BORDER OPENING SOON FOR VISITING YACHTS

by admin

NZ Marine have been working closely with Government departments in an effort to have the sea border opened in tandem with the air border during 2022.

NZ Marine’s job is now to communicate internationally that NZ will be open for yacht visitation and our 2022/2024 Destination & Cruising New Zealand book will be an important tool in re-establishing NZ as the destination of choice in the South Pacific.

As part of a planned marketing approach to re-establish NZ as the Southern Hemisphere’s, and South Pacific’s, prime destination for cruising and for refit/service work they are launching a new 2022/2024 Destination & Cruising New Zealand Book. This new book will be available in hard copy, electronic copy, and as an app from July 2022. Superyacht captains and skippers of cruising yachts use this app as the prime source of information on the latest rules, regulations, places to visit, and marine industry companies in NZ that can assist them during their visit to NZ.

The Destination & Cruising New Zealand book is promoted directly to cruising yachts, superyacht owners, agents, captains, and crew worldwide.  This will continue to be done in 2022 to 2024 – with a mix of distribution channels, starting with New Zealand’s sponsorship of the 2022 Superyacht Cup in Palma in June 2022.  The book will also be distributed through various government agencies worldwide, via our Destination NZ app, social media, and our websites.
