Propspeed has announced today the revolutionary foul-release coating explicitly designed for transducers – Foulfree – is now shipping.
“After years of development and testing in collaboration with Airmar, we are excited that Foulfree is now available to the market,” said Chris Baird, CEO, Propspeed. “Foulfree has received a great deal of interest from the media and industry professionals during our initial launch. Once we get the product into the hands of users, we are looking forward to receiving positive feedback from our customers.”
Designed by industry-leading engineers and certified by Airmar to result in no loss in transducer performance once applied, Foulfree releases marine growth, reducing the maintenance needed to keep transducers clean and streamlining water flow. Foulfree is a specialised foul-release coating that is biocide-free and does not poison marine growth. Once cured, Foulfree forms a super-slippery surface over the transducer, preventing marine growth from attaching to its surface. Offering a long service life – it lasts a minimum of 12 months, with an even longer life span in colder climates.
Foulfree joins Propspeed’s award-winning product line which includes Propspeed an industry-leading foul-release system for propellers and running gear and the groundbreaking transparent foul-release coating formulated explicitly for underwater lights, Lightspeed.
Foulfree is priced at $39.99 for the complete kit and is now available through Propspeed’s distribution network as well as Airmar’s distribution network – Gemeco and Airmar EMEA. For more information on Foulfree, Propspeed or its industry-leading coatings, please visit www.oceanmax.com.
