Raymarine has changed the face of the commercial marine market by releasing the powerful new Pathfinder Radar.
A cost-effective, easy-to-install, IMO-compliant solid-state X-band radar system, the revolutionary new Pathfinder radar system is ideal for vessels up to 10,000 tonnes including superyacht, megayacht and OSV/deep water vessels.
Built on the brand’s proven and award-winning solid-state radar technology and available in CAT2 and CAT3 configurations, Pathfinder uses cutting-edge, solid- state technology, reducing the need for costly magnetron replacement and maintenance, and delivers exceptional resolution and detection capabilities, even in the most challenging maritime conditions.
With exceptional clarity and an intuitive user interface, and driven by a fan-less, six- foot, low-profile open array antenna, Pathfinder offers crews superior target separation and increased long-range resolution using CHIRP pulse compression and beam sharpening technology. Its solid-state transmitter provides performance that exceeds that of a 12kW magnetron and the system exceeds all IMO performance requirements for target detection.
The displays are available in 16- or 19-inches for CAT 3 vessels or 22- or 24- inches for CAT 2. They are the brightest on the market, greatly increasing the longevity of the system, and are protected with Raymarine’s HydroTough™ nano-coating technology, repelling water and oil contaminants and delivering both incredible HD resolution and excellent sunlight visibility.
Ample input and output ports makes the Pathfinder system completely customisable and adding increased functionality in the future is a breeze.
Easy to install or be retrofitted, Pathfinder is half the weight of comparable radars. With small-diameter interconnect cables, cable runs are simplified, installation time is reduced and installation costs greatly reduced. The revolutionary new Pathfinder radar system, ideal for vessels up to 10,000 tonnes including superyacht, megayacht and OSV/deep water vessels, is now available now through Lusty and Blundell’s nationwide network of leading marine dealers and at their three showrooms in Albany, Whangarei and Tauranga.
