Increased demand from both local and visiting boat owners has seen Cayla Moulpied, previously Lusty & Blundell’s Auckland showroom manager, promoted to Internal Sales Project Manager and head of branch operations at the company’s busy Whangarei branch. Cayla, who boasts more than a decade’s worth of knowledge and experience in both the wholesaling and retailing of marine equipment, specialises in finding solutions for Lusty & Blundell’s diverse range of boat owners. A renowned Raymarine specialist, Cayla is also a keen sailor and an ex Coastguard volunteer. An active member of the local yachting scene, when not racing her own J14 Jollyboat, she can often be found teaching others in the local Learn to Sail programme.
Along with her decades of knowledge of the Northland boating, off grid and RV communities, Cayla also plays an important role in the support of L&B’s New Zealand and Pacific Islands marine industry partners and the large number of local and international sailors who migrate across the Pacific Ocean. She is also a key member of L&B’s boat show presentation team.
Cameron Maher, L&B’s sales director, says the promotion is a result of the company’s sustained growth in the Whangarei and Northland areas and the contribution Cayla has already made to the company and the region. “Lusty & Blundell is exceptionally lucky to have such an experienced and knowledgeable person now performing senior roles in sales projects and branch operations,” he says. “Having Cayla in her new role will not only be extremely beneficial for L&B, it will also be a huge asset being based in the Northland region.”
