The flagship in the Grand Inflatable Boats fleet, the G850 sits comfortably at 8.5 metres (27 feet) in length, with an internal beam of 1.75m. A centre console design creates a spacious walkaround space in and around the entirety of the boat deck, creating comfortable manoeuvrability for all passengers, enhanced by the non-slip SeaDek foam flooring throughout. Grand’s use of under-deck space is also maximised, enabling immense storage capacity with ample storage lockers that sit deep into the hull, and a large onboard head that sits beneath the console.
On the water, with its raised Hypalon tubes and 30-degree deep-v hull, the G850 gives passengers the feeling of ‘gliding above the water’, with many likening the experience to travelling on a foil. Whether travelling through choppy conditions, crossing through wake or venturing in the offshore swell, the G850’s handling is stable, fast, agile and incredibly manoeuvrable. After letting down the electric anchor at your favourite lunch spot, it’s time to unwind with a meal or drink down at the stern. The functional wet bar offers an integrated fridge-freezer, a stovetop cooking plate, as well as a sink and tap. The U-shaped wraparound seating and removable table at the rear of the cockpit comfortably seats 6 – 7 people, creating the perfect entertainment spot for friends and family. The fibreglass t-top over the helm can be fitted with extendible sunshades that stretch out across the stern and bow areas, providing protection from the sun no matter where you sit.
Up at the helm of the G850, the driver is protected from the elements by the overhead t-top and effective windshield. At the dash, you have all the information you need and more at your fingertips with twin 12” Garmin Chart Plotters, a Scanstrut Wireless Phone Charger, Garmin VHF and Fusion Stereo with six on-board speakers (including two fixed into the t-top). The G850 is rated up to 400HP, and those who opt for the twin 200HP Yamaha Outboards, the integration of the Helm Master EX Joystick control system enhances navigation and precision, especially when mooring or fishing.
