If you’re looking to spend more time on the water, a group will be cruising various lakes on the way south to Queenstown. Here’s the suggested itinerary:

 Wednesday, 12 March

Depart Christchurch and head to Lake Hood, Ashburton for some boating. Continue on to Lake Tekapo for a boat trip to the island. Enjoy an evening activity like the Night Skytour or a soak in the hot pools.

Thursday, 13 March

Tour Tasman Downs Station, located on the shores of Lake Pukaki, then head to Sailor’s Cutting to boat the lower reaches of Lake Benmore. Continue on to Lake Wanaka for an overnight stay.

Friday, 14 March

Boating on Lake Wanaka to Stevensons Island, then across to Glendhu Bay. Afterward, travel to Queenstown for the Southern Lakes Classic Boats Meet and Greet.

If you’re interested in joining in for part or all of the event, please contact Shelley Neutze at 027 291 3385 or indicate your interest on the Southern Lakes Classic Boats registration form.
