STABICRAFT 1550 FRONTIER

by admin

The 2023 1550 Frontier marks the much-anticipated return of a popular Stabicraft model. The company have reworked and rearranged the model for broader end-user appeal and expanded on the features of its very popular smaller sibling. The 1450 Frontier offers an open-boat style alternative to the immensely popular centre console 1550 Fisher.

The 1550 Frontier is 4.8m overall, with a beam of 2.01m, deadrise of 15 deg and is designed to handle outboards to 75hp.

The 1550 Frontier retains the side console configuration but has gained massive amounts of usable space onboard by adopting “Broadhead Coamings” that open up the bow deck area forward of the helm, creating a very functional casting deck and seating area.

Dual boarding platforms aft and a folding ladder have been added as standard, and the transom now provides far better access in and out of the water or when on the trailer than its predecessor did.

Coamings and topside surfaces are now furnished as standard with EVA foam, and a windscreen with a grab bar is included as standard. With a 75hp limit and more payload capability for passengers, the 1550 Frontier provides a big step up from the 1450 with a range of innovative options and packages available.

There are three trim packages to choose from; Base 1550 Frontier, Sportfish and Profish Between these three packages and numerous options, there is a configuration to suit everyone from budget-conscious family adventurers to dedicated and discerning fishermen who want it all.

Options include; underfloor fuel storage, welded in live bait tank with window, removable

clip-in forward casting platform extension and Ultralon U-Dek flooring. There are a number of helm console versions for flush or binnacle-mounted electronics, a 70l split lid Icey-Tek cooler box, bait board or deluxe bait board with storage, a Tasman-6drum winch, and trolling motor support.
