A new DF250ATSS was recently unveiled by Suzuki which is compatible with the company’s digital foot throttle system.

Suzuki Marine has expanded its range of outboard engine offerings with an all-new DF250ATSS V6 four-stroke outboard being unveiled in the US.

Described as the new flagship of the company’s Sport Series (SS) of high-performance engines for bass boats, bay boats and other applications where speed and time-to-plane are key considerations, the new 250 is the first engine in its line to offer full compatibility with the Suzuki Precision Control (SPC) electronic shift and throttle system that will integrate with the company’s digital foot throttle.

The new engine utilises a new lower unit gearcase with an asymmetrically designed skeg that is said to offer improved steering stability, along with an updated mounting system to reduce engine vibration and a new line of Watergrip propellers designed to enhance the overall performance.

A revised cowling design that features additional louvers, upper cover grips and new updated SS graphics gives the new engine a distinctive look. The DF250ATSS is offered in a choice of matte black or new white finishes in 20-inch and 25-inch shaft lengths.

In addition to the new DF250ATSS model, Suzuki is also presenting a new DF115SS model for smaller bass boats, aluminium fishing boats, flats skiffs and other vessels that need high performance with light weight.
