The Hutchwilco boat show will be the world premiere of the Boat Launcher, a remote-controlled self-propelled boat trailer.
Tectrax receives requests on an almost weekly basis to retrofit systems to existing boats. Whilst it sounds simple, there is a huge amount to consider when integrating an amphibious system to a boat. The boatbuilders that Tectrax work with put a huge amount of effort into modifying new boats to ensure they have a great on-water performance with the wheels. Talking to customers more about why they want to retrofit, and it becomes obvious that they want the easy launch and retrieval, but they love their boat and don’t want to buy a new expensive amphibious model.
The Boat-Launcher is Tectrax’s solution to this problem. It is a remotely operated electric wheel kit that can be integrated by Trailer manufacturers to create a remotely-operated self-driving trailer. These aren’t any trailers they are true all terrain trailers designed for the challenging conditions of New Zealand Beaches, coastlines and lakes. The launcher provides the benefits of a dry and easy launch and landing process, using the boat you really want at a fraction of the cost.Â
Tectrax unique electric 4-wheel drive system provides powerful all-terrain launching with an impressive 5,000Nm of torque, makes launching a breeze. Submersible design allows deeper launches and smoother landings for a hassle-free experience. They have designed the system to be integrated into Trailers for larger boats, having sufficient power to push 6 Tonne up a ramp! Smaller Boat-Launchers will be released later this year.
