Transformarine has just completed a design for a 4m Plate Aluminium Dive Cat Kitset. These kit sets can either be sold as “plans and cut-files for the DIY boatbuilder” or assembled for those who are not so confident on the tools, at Dreadnort Boats. The kit is set up for either side console or tiller steer.
The specifications are: LOH 4m, beam 2m (moulded), lightship approximately 600kg with 60hp. This vessel has eight compartments for positive buoyancy, four accessible via hatches providing plenty of storage and a self-draining deck. The key feature is the 600mm wide bow door that drops 850mm into the water for easy access for divers/swimmers.
Powering is from 40 to 60hp.
