Webasto, the world market leader for sunroofs, panorama roofs, and convertible roofs, has produced its 8,000th roof for marine use at its Kampen plant in the Netherlands.
This roof – a 40-series electrically powered sunroof – will be used aboard Chaparral’s 317SSX. Thanks to its slim, low-profile design, it is particularly suitable for smaller boats.
At the same time, its quality-tested safety glass and watertight sealing make it robust enough to guarantee the necessary protection even in stormy weather.
The roof was completely produced, assembled, tested and delivered ready for installation at our plant in Kampen. The anniversary roof meets Webasto’s highest quality standards like all other roofs. The production process from bending the frame, painting, gluing and curing to packaging the complete unit takes an average of four weeks.
Webasto has its roots in the automotive industry and is one of the global top 100 suppliers. Since 2004, the company’s marine segment has offered roof systems as well as complete and integrated solutions for optimizing climate comfort on board ships and yachts.
