World Premiere: Riviera Reveals The New 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum

Riviera has announced the world premiere of its new-generation 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, a completely reimagined design that combines luxury, innovation, performance, and effortless blue-water cruising. Inspired by the original 5000 Sport Yacht launched in 2009, the new model builds on a successful legacy, with yachts delivered to owners across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States.

At 50 feet, the 5000 Sport Yacht strikes an ideal balance between luxury entertaining, long-range cruising capability and ease of owner operation. The Platinum Edition adds sophisticated colour palettes, refined appointments and elevated finishes throughout.

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said the new model reflects the company’s progress and core values.

“Today, Riviera builds the most advanced motor yachts in our proud 46-year history, and this magnificent new 5000 Sport Yacht is the latest example. “The 5000 brings together Riviera’s core values of luxury, artistry and engineering in perfect harmony.”

From the teak-laid hydraulic swim platform, the yacht is designed to maximise enjoyment on the water. The platform lowers to create a private beach club and incorporates cascading steps for easy access. Beneath the aft deck, a tender garage houses water sports equipment and a 2.8-metre tender with outboard, launched and retrieved using an integrated electric winch. The expansive aft deck is designed for entertaining, with a full-beam transom lounge, dining setting and alfresco galley featuring barbecue facilities, refrigeration, icemaker and wet bar. An electric sunroof brings additional natural light and fresh air. Opening the saloon door and awning window creates a seamless, single-level indoor-outdoor living space. Inside, handcrafted timber cabinetry, luxurious lounges and panoramic views are complemented by a contemporary galley with premium appliances and generous storage.

Wide side decks lead to a spacious foredeck with sun lounges, companion seating, an integrated icebox, and an optional awning. At the helm, advanced touchscreen navigation, joystick manoeuvring and excellent visibility through the curved-glass windscreen make offshore cruising and marina manoeuvring easier. Owners can choose two- or three-stateroom accommodation. Both layouts include a full-beam master suite with private ensuite and a forward VIP stateroom. The two-stateroom configuration can also feature a versatile lower lounge or additional accommodation.

Available technology includes Sentinel remote monitoring, Volvo Penta Assisted Docking, Praxis Composite solar charging, Seakeeper stabilisation and Starlink connectivity.

Twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800 engines, each producing 600 hp (441 kW), deliver strong performance, efficiency and confident handling. The yacht is backed by Riviera’s two-year express and seven-year structural limited warranties, plus Volvo Penta’s five-year limited warranty covering engines, drives and electronics. Handcrafted at Riviera’s Gold Coast manufacturing facility, the new 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition represents the company’s continuing pursuit of excellence in luxury motor yacht design and construction.

The Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum will make its world premiere in late 2026.
