Yamaha targets carbon neutrality by 2050 in its Environmental Plan.
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has announced its Environmental Plan 2050, setting a new target of carbon neutrality in all its business activities throughout the life cycles of its products, by 2050.
The 2050 Environmental Plan re-establishes the objectives of the Yamaha Motor group for 2050, and the objectives to be met for 2030 and 2035. Yamaha will formulate a medium-term plan every three years and will promote initiatives and activities with these objectives.
Yamaha Motor has continuously offered personal mobility options with small environmental footprints and low CO2 emissions over the entire product life cycle, from raw material procurement and manufacturing to use and disposal. Toward realising a carbon-neutral society in 2050, the company will continue to offer new value by proposing new forms mobility unique to Yamaha Motor in addition to its signature motorcycles and outboards.
