YAMAHA
Yamaha is excited to announce the 2024 WaveRunner lineup which sees more power, more colour and more choice than ever before. Yamaha WaveRunners continue to lead the pack when it comes to big displacement marine engines, with the release of the industry’s first 1.9 Litre naturally aspirated high output engine, delivering quicker acceleration and higher top-end speed in HO models across the FX, GP and VX range.
A new 1898cc (1.9L), four-stroke, four-cylinder, 16-valve High Output marine engine replaces the Yamaha 1.8L High Output motor that previously powered the FX Cruiser HO, FX HO, GP1800R HO and VX Cruiser HO models. This more powerful engine provides quicker and smoother acceleration and higher top-end speed. This is achieved through the engine’s increased displacement, optimised intake and exhaust paths, and a 10-percent larger throttle body for more power and torque. This new engine is paired with a new top loader intake grate on the FX HO and VX HO models for improved pickup and acceleration.
FX Series Upgrades
FX Cruiser HO and FX HO models have been upgraded with the new 1.9 Litre naturally aspirated high output engine and a new intake grate for improved jet pump efficiency and acceleration. The larger 7-inch Connext touchscreen, previously only available on the FX SVHO models, is now fitted as standard on FX Cruiser HO and FX HO models. The home screen layout of the Connext touchscreen has been refreshed across all FX models, delivering a cleaner look and improved visibility, while the Drive Control options have been expanded to now offer Economy, Towing, Performance, Comfort and Custom setting options, for an improved riding experience. 2024 sees the FX Limited SVHO, FX Cruiser SVHO and FX SVHO return with a mix of exciting colours, and extensive list of high-quality features carried over from 2023. FX SVHO models continue to be powered by the supercharged SVHO 1.8L four-cylinder engine delivering awesome performance and proven reliability.
EX and Freestyle Series
The EX Series and Jet Blaster return in 2024 with exciting new colours and the same performance and features that make these models so popular. The SuperJet returns in the existing clean and sharp white appearance and continues to offer a modern take on traditional stand-up riding with the benefit of the latest four-stroke engine technology. “The MY24 line up is extremely exciting, with our next generation power plant taking the performance of our naturally aspirated High Output craft to the next level.” said Pete Dick, Group Products Marketing Manager. “We are very proud of the high quality and comprehensive product line-up we can offer New Zealand customers in the 2024 model range.” 2024 Waverunners will be available in dealerships towards the end of the year.
VX Series Upgrades
The VX Series offers an affordable, feature-rich, and versatile package for those that appreciate reliability, quality, and performance, without the luxury price tag. The 2024 VX series includes the VX Cruiser HO, VX Cruiser and VX Deluxe. This year’s VX Cruiser HO packs even more punch, incorporating the new 1.9 Litre big horsepower engine and a new intake grate for improved acceleration and top-end speed.

KAWASAKI
Kawasaki currently have five models available in New Zealand. The Ultra 160 was a mid-2023 release – the 2024 models have not yet been released.

Our accessory teams have worked hand in hand with our vehicle engineers to launch 25 new on-water accessories for our entire line-up that cater to unparalleled days on the water.” Record breaking performance from world leading engine innovation The industry’s highest performing watercraft platform just got faster with the introduction of the 325hp Sea-Doo RXP-X/RXT-X. Featuring the world’s highest horsepower and fastest accelerating PWC engine right out of the box, the supercharged 325 hp Rotax 1630 ACE, the RXP-X has an eye watering 0-60 mph time below 3.4 seconds and the highest PWC horsepower to weight ratio in the industry for ultimate buoy course performance creating a breathtaking experience on the water. When riding off-shore, riders can consider the RXT-X, which features the same 325hp Rotax engine but fully configured for offshore speed, stability and control. X-Performance features found on the RXP-X and RXT-X include X-sponsons, polished impeller, extended VTS and launch control.
The rebirth of the accessible, high-performance watercraft The launch of the new GTR-X marks the rebirth of accessible high performance PWCs with its supercharged Rotax 1630 300 hp ACE engine. Featuring an impressive power-to-weight ratio, coupled with the fun characteristics of its hull; the GTR-X is a perfect fit for adrenaline seekers and families looking for a mix of performance, versatility and price accessibility. For adrenaline seekers expecting breathtaking acceleration, an extended VTS, launch control and polished impeller help to achieve a 0-60 mph time of around 4 seconds. Putting riders in the right spot to handle that type of acceleration are low-rise handlebars, an exclusive Ergolock 2 piece racing seat, angled footwell wedges and the GTR hull, which delivers even more playful and nimble handling while remaining stable and predictable. Spending large amounts of time on the water on a GTR-X is easy with the larger fuel tank, swim platform with LinQ compatibility and spacious seating. Extensive storage also enhances time on the water.
Refinement to maximize unforgettable days on the water The award-winning Sea-Doo Switch family of pontoon boats have made huge waves since being introduced just a few years ago with the fun, accessible and adaptive boating experience they bring to the marine industry. During the course of those years, it has become very apparent that owners enjoy customising their Switch’s to fulfil their needs out on the water. At 21 feet long and powered by 230hp, the new Switch Cruise enhances the cruising experience and will host a range of improved technologies and design elements. Sea-Doo Switch Cruise comes with a galvanised trailer and includes updates such as a full swim platform that will make the whole family comfortable and happy. Customisation is a very important part of the Sea-Doo Spark experience. For its evolution, the team has taken it to another level, incorporating more LinQ lite locations than before. Riders now have up to 6 possible locations to add accessories such as action camera holders to capture their experience.
