The Lateral Line Transformer

by admin

If you went to the recent Tairua Boat Show, you could not have missed the very radical and different Marco boat built for The Lateral Line fishing show.

Based on the Marco 600 hull with the addition of the forward casting platform, this brings the boat dimensions out to about 6.2m long and 2.4m wide. Construction is a 5mm bottom with 4mm sides.

There is storage under the dash for five rigged 2.5m casting rods, each in their individual compartments. There is also the ability to store another smaller rod alongside each larger rod if required.

The boat has a massive bunk under the raised deck, which is accessed through lifting the staircase. It has a full array of Humminbird electronics including a Solix 12 MFD on the dash and a Solix 10 MFD on the bow. This very specialised fishing platform also has one of the first Mega 360 imaging transducers in the country, along with 24v Minn Kota Terrova and Cannon downrigger. These are all networked to run together.

The Lateral Line Marco is powered by the latest model Suzuki 200 and sits on a custom made alloy trailer from Marco Boats.
