Highfield Boats Australia has appointed Lewis Marine as its exclusive dealer for Tasmania. Located just 15 minutes from Hobart, Lewis Marine is a family-owned and managed business, operating since 1956 and has been passed down through three Lewis generations over 60 years. Occupying state-of-the-art premises in an industrial estate near the airport, Lewis Marine showcases a range of top brands, including Quintrex, Cruise Craft, Extreme Boats from New Zealand along with Yamaha engines. The showroom is supported by a full service centre, with 12 employees, including four working in marine mechanics and engineering.
Seton Lewis, General Manager and third generation in the business, grew up boating and waterskiing in the Hobart area. He undertook his Marine Mechanic apprenticeship and now heads up the business. Seton said the decision to represent Highfield Boats was an easy one. “We have sold the product and know that it is a high-quality and in-demand brand for RIB tenders and day boats,” he stated.
Peter Pembroke from Highfield Boats Australia says he is delighted that a long-standing relationship has turned into a formal dealership agreement.
